Sous Chef – 2 Rosettes – Ashbourne, Derbyshire – Up to £27k

This stunning, privately owned converted 17th century country house hotel is currently recruiting

for a talented Sous Chef to aid the Head Chef. The hotel is well known for extensive use of all the

excellent local produce used in there 2 rosette awarded restaurant.

The Head chef is looking for a sous chef ideally from a rosette background, who is very up to

date on to modern techniques and presentation style.

As Sous Chef, you will be second in charge and responsible for the kitchen in the absence of the

Head Chef. You will have input in menus, train other chefs, oversee the kitchen ensuring the

kitchen functions within relevant hygiene health and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

Help develop the junior chefs, inspire, motivate and train

Be proactive and self starter

Be a good team leader

Help manage food costs and maintain high standards

Keep up standards to maintain 2 rosette

Working 5 days out of 7 including weekends

Must have 3 years experiance

Benefits:

£25,000 – 27,000 plus tips depending on experience

Accommodation can be provided short term.

Meal provided while on duty.
